“Mystical Lake Part 2”

“They arrived at a small cove, which was really more a scallop in the bank of the lake, around which a semicircle of bushes had grown up. The water here was shallow near the shore. Sophia began to undress, lifting the kingfisher-blue, lizard-laden blouse over her head, pulling down her jeans, and sliding out of her panties. As if they had been so instructed by their teacher, the other ladies followed suit. Soon, they stood naked in the flesh, all looking out over the mirrored surface of the water, now reflecting the full moon in the shape of an inverted exclamation point. The dot of the punctuation mark was fuzzy and shimmering, and its vertical bar consisted of discrete dashes of irregular breadth. The reflection pointed from the center of the lake directly at its rapt observers. The three bodies differed in height, mass, and shape. What did not differ was the consciousness of the women: they were all completely possessed by the magical glamour of the night. As if on cue, they walked into the water, letting it first wash their ankles, then their calves and thighs, then their bellies, and, finally, their breasts. The water was cold, but their inner Light kept them from feeling it. Instead, they felt enveloped by the embrace of an all-consuming lover. Whatever body part the water touched felt caressed. The liquid element washed away any remaining sense of physical rigidity: bones and muscles turned to silt, as the water made them its own.”
