“Soul Fatigue”

When the body is fatigued after exercise, it loses its fine coordination: a tired hand drops a glass, overused legs trip as they try to walk. The physical machine is no longer capable of grace and precision. In the same way, the soul that is weighed down by stress, worn down by the pressure of activity and worry, is incapable of maintaining the peaceful joy of Pure Consciousness. It becomes clumsy in the world, creates tension and problems, and knows that it is not where it ought to Be. The solution is to meditate.

Richard Maddox

Richard Dietrich Maddox's writing focuses on the search for permanent happiness, the goal of finding paradise on earth, the attainment of human Enlightenment. His work, though fiction, attempts to convey the profound spiritual Truth passed on to humanity by Enlightened Masters. Maddox approaches spiritual wisdom from a Western level of experience, presenting characters to whom readers can easily relate, offering situations in which readers might well have found themselves. His work offers, in a style which those living in the West will find understandable, the possibility of blissful existence.
