“World as Painting”

“The friends felt themselves to be immersed in a gigantic and living abstract painting. The world had become transformed into a chorus of dancing streamers of sublime and pulsing hues. Sonca now spoke. “The heavens are announcing the birth of the Palace of Perfect Wisdom. Nature herself is celebrating this momentous event. The atmosphere is undulating in great, long ribbons of magnetic coloration. The forces of the material world are offering a ceremony to the Truth that will live inside the Palace.” Now they all looked out upon the lake. The aurora borealis was reflected on the surface of its waters. But the waves on the lake bent the lights so that they formed on the aqueous canvas ancient pictographs, runes, and symbols. The friends intuitively understood the spiritual meaning of each of these symbols.” (from “Palace of Perfect Wisdom”)
