“Always a New Story”
“And yet, as she listened to him talk about an event from that time, she heard it with a fresh ear. This made sense, if one thought about it; for every time a story is told, it is told in a new temporal and locational setting; it is told by a person different than the one who related it before; and the listener herself is different this time around. These were the practical reasons why a story might have seemed newborn whenever she heard it. But the grand explanation for this freshness lay in the Absolute. Whatever manifested on the surface of the Absolute—everything in their lives now—appeared dew-laden and lanugo-covered. Nothing that they perceived with their senses had ever existed prior to this moment. Their world was constantly coming into existence just now.” (from “Enlightened Relations: The Life in a Day”)
