“Celestial Fireworks”

“When the friends reached the bottom of the trail, they turned to look back at the rocky heights. Through some fluke of atmospheric conditions, the sun behind the mesa was shooting out long filaments of white light, filaments that looked like compressed and radiant contrails from multiple rocket launches. The arc of the sun’s top seemed to have lost its coherency and allowed its light to explode outward into the sky. The sun might have been a massive firework that had unexpectedly gone off, sending forth feathers of white light in all directions.”

Richard Maddox

Richard Dietrich Maddox's writing focuses on the search for permanent happiness, the goal of finding paradise on earth, the attainment of human Enlightenment. His work, though fiction, attempts to convey the profound spiritual Truth passed on to humanity by Enlightened Masters. Maddox approaches spiritual wisdom from a Western level of experience, presenting characters to whom readers can easily relate, offering situations in which readers might well have found themselves. His work offers, in a style which those living in the West will find understandable, the possibility of blissful existence.
