“Inside the Mountain”
“Their eyes gained the ability to see right through the rock, into the depths of the hill. Inside it they perceived another world, a world of radiant beings. There were silvered shapes distinguishable as ancient rishis, golden shapes reminiscent of Realized teachers, and transparent shapes that seemed to have left all identity of any sort behind them. The interior of the hill was a honeycomb of living spaces. Some of the beings sat in lotus position, deeply absorbed by their concentration. Others walked about slowly, radiant with spiritual grace. Colored orbs like those the friends had seen at the waterfall floated through the air like bits of rainbow broken free.”
