“The Sea Cave”

Excerpt from “Osi and Isi: A Tale of Twin Flames“: “Schak had led the colonists back to the sea cave, to that magical, hidden space that closely resembled the Delphic omphalos, the “navel” stone that sat at the center of the world, and the axis mundi, the pillar connecting the various worlds in the cosmos. Anyone who entered this space immediately realized that it was a source of knowledge, a prophetic channel into which open souls might tap. It was magical because its aquamarine pool filled itself through invisible channels. The constant flow of the waterfall at the back of the cave added to the effect of mystery, for the cave was an enclosed space. And the quicksilver-like glistening of the stone walls, which were naturally carved in the shapes of mythical creatures, made the visitor feel as if she were surrounded by the sides of a witchy urn. The sun pouring down from the connecting navel at the top of the cave dotted the waters of the aqua pool with flashing diamonds.”
