“Transformation”

“The scene will suddenly shift, alter, expand, and recede. Where there had been solidity, there is now amorphousness. What had been a discrete ticking of moments is now entirely devoid of a clock. The humdrum has risen to blissful; the distant become intimate. The boring is now exciting. The typical has become unique. The stale is fresh; the shallow, deep. Some all-powerful genie has waved his gigantic hand, thereby transforming reality into Reality. Pure Consciousness, the Infinite Ocean of Being, has emerged from behind the fog and revealed Herself in silvered glory. On her surface, the waves spangle and glisten like million-fold mirrors. Sunlight cavorts and twinkles like a light show divine. Dolphins, synchronized like gymnasts, leap from the depths, dripping water and light. Gulls joyfully squawking turn their chevroned wings to catch the sun, becoming, in the process, Impressionist canvases. The people who are standing around, who formerly appeared quite normal, now shine as if bathed in Divine Light. They, who had been shallow, have acquired marvelous depth. The words they speak, the ambient noises around them have faded to a light buzzing on the periphery of cosmic Silence. The air is full of a pregnant Energy: a sense of All Possibilities permeates the room.”

Richard Maddox

Richard Dietrich Maddox's writing focuses on the search for permanent happiness, the goal of finding paradise on earth, the attainment of human Enlightenment. His work, though fiction, attempts to convey the profound spiritual Truth passed on to humanity by Enlightened Masters. Maddox approaches spiritual wisdom from a Western level of experience, presenting characters to whom readers can easily relate, offering situations in which readers might well have found themselves. His work offers, in a style which those living in the West will find understandable, the possibility of blissful existence.
