“Twin Flames”

Excerpt from “Osi and Isi: A Tale of Twin Flames”: “The colonists followed their leader’s instructions. After meditating for some time, they all at the same moment spontaneously opened their eyes. Above the fire burning in the middle of their circle rose two flames, one silver and one gold. The flames danced together in unison. They would both jump up, then first bend to the left and afterwards to the right. The flames stretched out until they were six feet high. Then they began to wrap themselves around each other, forming a sort of caduceus, or staff of Hermes. Suddenly, the flames straightened out and shot up through the opening at the top of the cave. For a moment, the colonists saw two white doves in this aperture, silently circling one another. The smoke in the air disappeared and a subtle perfume of gardenias pervaded the cave.”
