“Vision Quest”
Excerpt from “Osi and Isi: A Tale of Twin Flames”: “When he next opened his eyes, Osi saw that that deep darkness had settled over the mountain. The moon was not visible, but a myriad of stars, some as tiny to the eye as specks of dust and others as large as snowflakes, some softly blue and others brilliantly white, covered the firmament. The highest peak of the mountains resembled an ice cream sundae topped with glistening marshmallow and hardened chocolate. But what a sight above this peak! The entire Milky Way seemed to be erupting from the top of the mountain! A vast, twisted muscle of stars and gases emerged from the pinnacle of this mountain and stretched unfathomable distances up into the sky. Portions of the left side of the galaxy were brightly lit, as if some great spotlight had been directed at them. Pieces of this massive tendon were colored gray, charcoal, azure, and delphinium blue. The Milky Way curled and flexed as it shot out of the rocky peak into the great void of the heavens. Osi stared up into this magnificence with the awed eyes of a child. He wondered at its beauty with the reverential attention of a worshipper. How could anyone ever observe such a celestial presentation without immediately thanking God for the opportunity that had been given him? It seemed to the young man that he had found the ideal place for his vision quest. In fact, he had been given a “vision” in the very first hours of his search.”
