“Wisdom in a Ditty”

What wisdom our childhood ditty contained! “Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.” Take your seat in the craft, precisely where destiny has placed you. Do your work, hard and heavy as it may seem. And, though that work be tiring, treat gently everyone with whom you come into contact. And always feel the joy! Be happy as you move forward down life’s river toward the great Ocean. For one day, in Enlightenment, you will see that it was all just a wonderful dream.

Richard Maddox

Richard Dietrich Maddox's writing focuses on the search for permanent happiness, the goal of finding paradise on earth, the attainment of human Enlightenment. His work, though fiction, attempts to convey the profound spiritual Truth passed on to humanity by Enlightened Masters. Maddox approaches spiritual wisdom from a Western level of experience, presenting characters to whom readers can easily relate, offering situations in which readers might well have found themselves. His work offers, in a style which those living in the West will find understandable, the possibility of blissful existence.
