“A Ritual”

Excerpt from “Osi and Isi: A Tale of Twin Flames”: “The seven stood in a circle around the fire. Everyone was quiet. Then a tall, deeply peaceful woman with braided hair invoked the powers of the four directions. Another woman, very small, and moving with quick gestures, sprinkled aromatic herbs over the flames. The tall woman then bent down and began to draw a cosmogram on the cave floor. She sketched out the upper, middle, and lower worlds, and the directional quadrants representing the body, heart, spirit, and mind. A compactly powerful man began to drum a steady beat. A golden-haired child of a woman took a stick and drew two elevens in the dirt. The leader, lifted her hands, palms up, as if in encouragement of the fire. Suddenly two pure flames, one silver and one gold, rose high and began to intertwine themselves. ‘The Twin Flames shall come,’ the woman said. ‘And our number will be nine.'”
