“A Visitation”

“She was deeply asleep one night when suddenly she felt a pressure on her hand. Someone was holding it. Opening her eyes, she saw a form standing beside the bed. Its right hand held hers. The form was oddly transparent, as if it were woven out of various colored lights. But it was clearly recognizable as the boy she had seen in the art-book painting, the one from the temple dream, the boy with the winsome smile. He had the same dangling blond lock of hair as the boy in the painting. His eyes opened directly into his soul. She saw in them love and devotion, a longing for the closeness of not just bodies but spirits. She knew instantly that he had received her dance message and had come in response to it. Isi looked into the boy’s eyes and experienced something extremely unusual. She felt as if she were looking at herself! It was as though her own essence was reflected back at her through the lenses of his eyes. A warm wash of relaxation passed into her body and heart. A strong shield of protection enwrapped her completely. Her heart softened and melted in her chest. A deep sense of easiness and tranquility pervaded her being.”
