Vague rumors are circulating. People tell stories about a wonderful oasis that has appeared in the desert of the world. They have inklings that it is meant to help them, meant to brighten the quality of their lives. They are asking a lot of questions. But answers are in short supply.” Claire pulled her friend into a side hug and beamed at her, overflowing with undiluted love. “It’s really happening, Orenda! This miracle of changing the entire world is really starting to unfold. I’m so pleased.” “Indeed, it is,” Kira agreed. We’re at that very early stage when all is rumor and suspicion. It’s like the popcorn kernels getting warm in the oil. They haven’t begun to explode into their new shape yet, but they’re lively and active. People in the world are feeling the increasing warmth of the oil. It won’t be long before they pop.” She threw herself back on the ground and burst into uproarious laughter.
