“Divine Dust”
“He scooped up a handful of dirt from the ground and sprinkled it over each girl’s hair. They all flinched, thinking that they were now dirty. But when they looked at each other, they saw that the dirt had turned into gold dust and that the gold dust had, in turn, become flecks of aureate light that danced like living highlights between the strands of their hair. The effect was dazzling and the girls marveled at what they saw. But they understood that the Saint had not performed these miracles to show off his abilities. Rather, he was teaching them a lesson: that even the most prosaic elements in the physical world are not only imbued with but actually based in Pure Consciousness.” (from “Palace of Perfect Wisdom”)
