“Entering the Palace”

“Upon entering the Palace, the six friends found themselves inside a spacious cave. Water from several waterfalls cascaded down the sides of the cave. Beautiful gardens, fresh with fragrant, multi-colored flowers, spread around its edges. Smooth, sandy paths wound through the space, and soft lights shone down from its upper portions. Realized Beings sat here and there in the gardens and near the waterfalls. An atmosphere of deep holiness pervaded the cave. The friends pressed their palms together and bowed their heads in recognition of the sacredness of the Saints. But the Saints seemed to be unaware of their presence.” (from “Palace of Perfect Wisdom”)

Richard Maddox

Richard Dietrich Maddox's writing focuses on the search for permanent happiness, the goal of finding paradise on earth, the attainment of human Enlightenment. His work, though fiction, attempts to convey the profound spiritual Truth passed on to humanity by Enlightened Masters. Maddox approaches spiritual wisdom from a Western level of experience, presenting characters to whom readers can easily relate, offering situations in which readers might well have found themselves. His work offers, in a style which those living in the West will find understandable, the possibility of blissful existence.
