“Guided by Destiny”

“So many theories abounded. But the interesting aspect of the conversation was that virtually no one doubted that what was in truth the Palace of Perfect Wisdom really existed. A certitude had arisen among the spiritual organizations, in meditation communities, in ashrams and temples, and in off-the-grid, idealistic communes. Everyone felt certain that a new center point of divine living had been created. Individuals and groups of people set out to locate this special place. But if they were not destined to find it, they returned frustrated. For the Palace drew only the purest-minded, the most deeply devoted, and the most highly evolved seekers. It admitted those who only needed the final whisper of wisdom, the final laying on of hands to break through to Enlightenment. These souls were guided by their destiny, which made use of a hundred apparently accidental occurrences, to the Colorado mountains and the Palace. It was as though nature sent out a guiding radio beam to, implanted a homing device in these fortunate souls. There was no possibility of their losing their way. They were meant to arrive and they did arrive.” (from “Palace of Perfect Wisdom”)

Richard Maddox

Richard Dietrich Maddox's writing focuses on the search for permanent happiness, the goal of finding paradise on earth, the attainment of human Enlightenment. His work, though fiction, attempts to convey the profound spiritual Truth passed on to humanity by Enlightened Masters. Maddox approaches spiritual wisdom from a Western level of experience, presenting characters to whom readers can easily relate, offering situations in which readers might well have found themselves. His work offers, in a style which those living in the West will find understandable, the possibility of blissful existence.
