“Paradise”

Excerpt from Osi and Isi: A Tale of Twin Flames”: “There exists, hidden away in California, a magnificent, barely accessible, and virtually unknown beach that is as close to being an earthly paradise as any place one will ever find. Above the crescent-shaped strand of fine sand rises a cliff that closely resembles the profile of a god. A three-pronged falls flows down the face of the cliff, emptying at its base into a rocky basin of crystalline water. Curved rock walls enclose the beach. Here is an atmosphere of perfect isolation. Here is that soothing silence that envelops a place where the only sounds are those of the natural elements. Here is magic! Although one’s eye could easily miss it, a small opening at the bottom of the cliff led inward and upward to a large sea cavern. The cavern was fed by hidden sources, so that a pool of most deliciously aquamarine-colored water stood in its center. A small waterfall spilled down the rock forming the back of the cave. A dry space beside the water stretched flat and smooth. The walls of the cavern glistened like quicksilver. An opening at the top of the cave reminded one of the omphalos, the navel of the world. As sunlight from this opening struck the pool of water, it transformed the wavelets into glittering liquid crystals. The rock of the walls bore shapes like dragons, horses, and griffons.”
