“Soul Travel”
“The girls all got the feeling that the woman’s soul had been traveling outside her body and had only just then returned to it. They bent their heads in respectful attention to this charismatic lady. When the girls looked up, she gazed at each of them in turn, holding the look for several seconds. And when she did! They each felt as if they had been instantly freed from all bodily constraints and left in a vergeless ocean of Silent Joy. “My name is Ananda,” she told them. Kira introduced herself and the other two girls. “We are sorry to intrude on your privacy, Ananda.” She hesitated for a moment as if doubting whether she should continue her line of thinking. “When we first came in, it seemed like you were different than you are now.” She immediately bent her head, concerned that she had gone too far. But Ananda responded with a charming smile. “One of my students needed to see me back in India. So, I left the body here and traveled in a way that’s easier and faster than airplanes.” Her joke broke the subtle tension Kira had been projecting, and the girls all laughed.” (from “Palace of Perfect Wisdom”)
