“The Seraph”

“One spring day, Aiyana came upon Aurora in the darkest depths of the forest. She was gaily talking to someone, but that someone was invisible. When she became aware of Aiyana, Aurora held up a finger, warning her to be quiet. The braided woman came up next to the girl. Aurora passed her hand in front of Aiyana’s eyes. She could then clearly perceive an eight-foot-tall seraph, standing before the trunk of a live oak tree. The angel was a soft blue, its body and wings fashioned from light rays. Waves of corpuscular white light pulsed out from its body. An atmosphere of protection spread from his form. Aiyana felt a gentle wash of guardian love pass through her body.”
